Whether you are a music specialist or a classroom teacher, whether you work with English Language Learners, bilingual or dual language classes, whether you speak fluent Spanish or just a little, or if you just want to include Spanish language singing in your day, this game resource promises to be fun and easy to use.
With these nine time-tested songs I did NOT translate word-for-word but instead strove to convey the original’s essential meaning while preserving the rhythms found in the English lyrics.
Instructions follow each song, often with game variations or recommendations gleaned from playing these games with many different sets of students. Teachable moments are highlighted here and there. I have offered a few tips specifically for music specialists regarding elements of melody and rhythm and a few snapshots of my own teaching process.
