Product Description
This is a fun, easy game to play in two small groups. I play this game with my gifted 3rd graders, but you could also play with a middle school Spanish class.

Students in the two small groups form a circle, standing facing one another. A small stuffed animal is used. The student who begins the round has this object in their hands, and the round always starts with the first number, once. Every time it is a student's turn, they have three options:
1) They can say just one number, in this case if they are starting the round, once
2) They can say two numbers in a row (once, doce)
3) OR the maximum amount of numbers they can say in a row is three (once, doce, trece)

After the first student has said their set of numbers (in this case, let's pretend they have said all three in a row- once, doce, trece), they then gently underhand toss the stuffed animal to another student in their small group. This student picks up their number counting from where the last student left off; in the case of my example, the next student would start at catorce. Again, this student has the same three options: to say just catorce, two numbers in a row, or the maximum of three.

The second student then chooses another student to toss the stuffed animal to to continue the counting.

The student who has the stuffed animal and says diecinueve is the one that decides who is out- aka, the game is called veinte because if you are the one who would have to say it, you are out. It's kinda like hot potato in that sense.

The student who says diecinueve calls out a name to decide who is out. That person sits down in the circle for the remainder of the game.

This game ends when there are only two students left, and the last student to say diecinueve and not veinte as their last number is the winner!

This game usually takes 10-15 min. to complete in a group of 8 to 12 students.

It's a fun way to review numbers! :)
