This is a self published book that I wrote titled, Gayle the Goose Goes Global. The book won a Canada Book Award in September 2016. It is a story about a directionally challenged Canada Goose that gets left behind at migration time when her flock decides to leave her behind. Alone for the first time, Gayle decides to try and migrate alone; however her direction sense brings her across Canada, instead of flying south. Gayle sees many of Canada's greatest sights and landmarks, and realizes that she can both survive and thrive on her own. When she returns to her flock, they think that perhaps a change from the ordinary routine would do them all a little good. Themes in this story include: Bullying, Self Acceptance, and that it's ok to be different.
