PP lesson that has several examples of gender stereotypes, links to videos online, and embraces equality.
When I did this lesson, I gave each student a toy and asked them to tell me what gender they think plays with it. We talked about why and if it was acceptable for both genders to use it.
We also looked through magazines: sports, health, store ads and cut out and talked about the images and gender stereotypes.
At the very end of the unit, we found a stereotype in a magazine and changed it by drawing and/or cutting out pieces to fix the stereotype.
