Calling all music researchers!
Research the history of a musical instrument! Research the life of a composer! Research a musical style! There are so many opportunities for your students to engage in research in your general music classroom!
But how do you effectively grade these research projects? This rubric will make grading your general music projects very easy and it will effectively communicate to your students the rationale for the grade that they received.
I created this rubric to provide an effective way to grade any type of research project assigned to your General Music students.
This rubric is organized into six categories: organization, mechanics, quality of information, paragraph construction, amount of information and sources. Each of the six categories are divided into four point levels which will allow you to determine each student's grade for their project.
