Should this novel be considered good literature?
Have your students critically think and evaluate whether any book should be considered good literature or not. Then, use this peer review form to have students revise a classmate's response before writing a final draft.
If your students are 10th graders in Connecticut, this form will work well in your classroom, too. Have your students answer the CAPT Response to Literature Good Literature question and peer review each other's responses. The form is comprehensive and forces the students to reflect on the CAPT rubric when providing feedback for their partner. After the peer review session, have your students revise and rewrite their responses for homework based on peer feedback. I use this form all the time, and it is very effective in teaching your students how to answer this question successfully.
