Generic Group Presentation Grading Rubric for Any Subject - FREE!-★★★★

Group projects are a fantastic way to get students interacting, to have peers hear about relevant issues from other peers, and to ace the “Student Engagement” portion of your teacher evaluation!!

The sky is the limit on projects and presentations you can have your students do.

Group projects are great because depending on what the project includes, nearly all of the National Standards, and 12 or more Common Core Standards could be met!!

Here is what is included:

1) Editable “Group Presentation Grading Rubric” for teacher grading of group presentations (Each student gets an individual grade worth 60% of their grade and a 40% group grade)

2) Teacher Directions

3) Editable “Student Reflection Sheet”

4) Editable PowerPoint to edit and use for your own projects and presentations

5) 3 ideas of how this student grading rubric can be used

More about this resource:

• The “Group Presentation Grading Rubric” is meant to be a generic template and can be used for any subject in any class; but it might help you to see how I used it in examples below from my own teaching.

• I purposely made the grading rubric so that 60% of a student’s grade is based on their own part in the group presentation (thus a student who does very well presenting is not completely penalized for the rest of the group not presenting as well!)

• Besides the “Group Presentation Rubric,” I included a “Student Reflection Sheet” that you can use after the presentation to see the impact of the presentations in class. I have used this with student names, and had students anonymously fill out the reflection to get a realistic picture of how much the peer presentations really impacted the class.

• I also included a PowerPoint in case you’d like to edit and use it for your own projects and presentation. It includes a slide where you can show the grading rubric to your students and explain to them how they’ll be graded for their presentations

Included in both Word and PDF formats.
