This lesson is an introduction to genetics and traits that can be used with an entire class or in a 1 to 1 setting. Included are practice pages, a teacher editable presentation and a recorded screen cast to help students understanding basic terminology used around genetics. When a student is finished, they should know the basics and be able to count the results of sample monohybrid crosses. For the first lesson I stopped short of explaining how to do genetic crosses (provide complete examples)because I felt there was enough vocabulary in this one to warrant practice before moving on.
