Genetic Disorder Brochure.
Includes: Teacher notes page, reproducable directions sheet, grading rubric, and class sign up sheet.
Students select one disorder to do their research on and create a brochure to be shared with the class. Students give a 3-5 minute presentation to the class on their disorder and the brochures can be passed around the class. Requires students to do research, use computers, be creative, and be able to explain to fellow students.
Can be done individually or in teams.
Choose a GENETIC disorder-only (1) disorder per person.
Research your chosen genetic disease in books, magazines, and/or Internet.
Fold a piece of paper in thirds and make your brochure neat and colorful.
Be prepared to do a 5-minute presentation on your disorder to the class.
Includes working research document in Word that can be converted to a Google doc or Pages.
