Using this EDITABLE set of worksheets, students color the phenotypes of organisms based upon their genotypes. The 16 different problems help students learn to recognize phenotypic patterns in common organisms. For example: calico cats, colorful fish, blue/grey chickens,
and speckled flowers.
There are two worksheet levels, one that is beginner's level and one that is more advanced. The following genotypes are used in the worksheets:
❸ Incomplete Dominance
If you don't happen to teach a particular genotype, you can use the editable files to swap out the information or remove a problem altogether.
This is a great activity for gauging whether students can distinguish between genotypes and then properly determine the phenotype.
