This Genetics PowerPoint with Notes for Teacher and Student
will ensure that your students master the genetics concepts taught in a typical high school biology class. The PowerPoint includes the work of Gregor Mendel, the monohybrid cross, the dihybrid cross, genotypes, phenotypes, Mendel's laws of inheritance, Punnett squares, incomplete dominance, sex linkage, multiple alleles, pedigree table, and so much more.
If you have never taught a lesson using a Powerpoint presentation, you have to give it a try! My students always prefer this to a traditional lecture. The PowerPoint consists of 61 slides that are colorful, informative and visually stimulating.

This powerpoint was written with a typical biology I class in mind. It can easily be edited. Middle school teachers may simply want to delete a few of the slides. Honors teachers can easily include a few extra details.
Also included is a set of notes to accompany this powerpoint. It includes a complete set of notes (17 pages) for the teacher, and an outline of the notes (18 pages) for the students. Students will use the outline as the powerpoint is being presented and will fill in the notes as the lesson is being taught.
The powerpoint includes many sample problems. There are several sample problems for each type of cross. However, students will need more practice problems to master these concepts. I provide my students with a worksheet for each type of problem covered in the powerpoint as a supplement and extra practice. These extra worksheets are available on TpT, but are not included in this product.
This powerpoint does not include: meiosis, genetic disorders, DNA concepts.
