Genetics Vocabulary: Card Sorting Activity and Flashcards

This document contains 18 genetic words and their definitions for a total of 36 cards.

The vocabulary cards include the following words: genotype, phenotype, homozygous, heterozygous, codominance, hybrid, genetics, heredity, traits, purebred, genes, alleles, dominant allele, recessive allele, Punnett square, chromosome, Chromosome Theory, and DNA.

The cards can be used as a sorting activity or flashcards depending on if they are printed double or single-sided. They can also be used to play a Concentration game. Use the cards as a review activity, a science center, a homework assignment, or a classroom activity. Directions for use and an answer key are included in this resource.
