Because there are so many genetics vocabulary terms it can be challenging for students to keep them all straight. These pages sized for Interactive Notebooks focus on the definitions and examples of fifteen common genetics vocabulary words. The pages can be used as an introduction to the unit, practice during the unit, reference throughout the unit, and/or test review at the end of the unit.
Two INB pages are included, and they come in three versions. The first version requires students to write definitions and examples. The second version has the definitions completed, but students need to add their own examples. The third version is completed with definitions and examples and is ready to glue into an INB. All three versions are alphabetized and can function as a student glossary. Ideas for how to use each version are included in the resource.
The vocabulary words included are alleles, codominance, dominant allele, genes, genetics, genotype, heredity, heterozygous, homozygous, hybrid, phenotype, Punnett square, purebred, recessive allele, and traits.
