Students will analyze the events, life, and personality of Genghis Khan. Through various sources students will judge Genghis Khan and decide how he should be remembered. Was he a warlord? Or was he an innovative military general who conquered most of the known world and united a group of warring nomads?
This unit allows students to develop historical biographical skills, study long and short term impacts of a leader, and learn how to formulate educated and supported opinions about a controversial historical figure.
