Description
Genocide. Darfur and Sri Lanka. These lesson plans are designed for use with the film "Crayons and Paper," a 30 minute award-winning documentary about an American pediatrician working in some of the most dangerous places in the world and his use of crayons and paper to have the kids document their experiences, giving a glimpse of genocide through the eyes of children. These lesson plans can be used with the film or as stand-alone lessons on genocide. The stand alone lessons include a song interpretation activity and an activity featuring several drawings by children from refugee camps in Darfur and Sri Lanka.
