This two page worksheet discusses and defines genocide and the "triangle of conflict." It then asks students probing questions relating to what they have learned about the holocaust and the genocides in Rwanda and Darfur and to make connections with the triangle of conflict. These questions get students thinking and connecting dots, and helps facilitate excellent classroom discussions.
I used this with my 7th graders, along with my other genocide-related materials (which are for sale separately). This can EASILY be adapted for higher grades, especially since the questions are open-ended. If you haven't taught all three genocides, but perhaps only one, this is also easily adaptable. Just replace each question with the specific area you have studied.
