Product Description
This project was designed to parallel the reading of Night (Wiesel). Students receive a packet at the start of the unit that will help them define key terms associated with participants in genocide. They soon come to find out through research, that genocide is still happening in many countries today. (NOTE: You may even lead the students in a discussion surrounding bullying and how that relates to victims, perpetrators, and bystanders)

This also lends itself to collaborative research for a presentation on recent/current instances of genocide around the world. A template for a PowerPoint presentation, with a rubric, is included, but the format can truly change to some other presentation medium.

There is a quiz included whose questions I do not take credit for drafting, but they are listed on so many sites. I did add how the question related to either a victim, a perpetrator, or a bystander in keeping with the focus of the project.
