Product Description
Through the lens of the question "Why hasn't human society been able to end genocide?", students are asked to judge whether various degrees of action count as genocide and then compare their own personal action or inaction with the inability of human society to stop the practice of genocide worldwide. Students are then challenged to learn about a specific case of genocide--Rwanda--in order to apply their growing understanding of the motivations for this vile aspect of human behavior. The PowerPoint and lesson plan are attached, including a graphic organizer for recording their internet findings.
