Description

These Geoboard Numbers and Shapes Task Cards make a center that allows children to practice numeral and shape identification, handwriting, and spatial reasoning, while strengthening their fine motor skills.

This set is part of a money-saving bundle. Check it out here!

This set includes task cards for the numbers 0-20 as well as for nine basic shapes (square, triangle, rectangle, hexagon, pentagon, octagon, rhombus, parallelogram, and trapezoid). The cards, which feature 5 x 5 peg boards, show designs for students to replicate on their own geoboards. Designed to be laminated and used with dry erase markers, these cards incorporate handwriting and shape drawing practice.

For best results, teachers should provide rubber bands in a variety of sizes when setting up this center. I have found it helpful to include very small rubber bands like those designed for hair or a “Rainbow Loom” along with standard rubber bands.

The entire set of cards is included in color and in black and white. You will also find recording sheets for both shapes and numbers, which are useful for accountability, particularly if you opt not to use the “write and wipe” feature.
