Product Description
In this activity, students will be creating a scavenger hunt! This is a great assessment to see if students understand how to read and locate places using lines of latitude and longitude. Using either a United States of a World map (differentiation strategy), students locate 5 places and write their locations using latitude and longitude. Students then create a book, writing mini poems for each location and ending with the location. Ex. My name is Andrea. My favorite food is apples. I like airplanes. I am located at 70 degrees west, and 90 degrees south. On the last day students exchange books and figure out the places their peers have located! Rubric for assessment is included along with handout for students describing the project.
