This project brings geography to life for your students by studying it through their favorite lens: food.

Explore the connection of food to the physical geography, history, and culture of any given region or country. Something as simple as pasta can tell us so much! Students will choose a country/region and then a dish, and independently research questions to connect it to the country/region.

At the end of this project your students will hold a delicious feast for two days, as they travel from country to country in a round robin presentation format. Or you can have them present one at a time.

Included are a PowerPoint detailing the project, a rubric for grading, and two graphic organizers to help students with their research (one modified for lower learners).

Also included is a Passport activity along with graphic organizer. This is optional, but it provides an excellent format for students to learn from one another during presentations.

All you have to do is type in the name of the continent region you are studying.
