In our global society, it is important for our students to understand how cultures are developed, and how they adapt to and adopt other practices and beliefs through diffusion.
Your students will have a great time working in cooperative groups to create a collage depicting the American subcultures. This will require students to implement high-order thinking skills as they analyze, compare, and evaluate the American culture and subcultures.
In addition, students will have a short preliminary assignment and will interpret a political cartoon! This reaches visual, auditory and kinesthetic learners, grades 5th-12th grade. Yes, even the older ones will enjoy this one!
