A reading about the problems and solutions of the physical geography in ancient Mesopotamia. Students will analyze how the geography affected life in the Fertile Crescent and how small farms became large civilized city-states. Students will learn how the people of Mesopotamia developed irrigation for a stable food supply. Includes a 3 page reading covering geography, food shortages in the hills, uncontrolled water supplies, attacks from neighbors and solutions.
