I am revamping my school's 6th Grade World Studies class and uploading the results here. This is lessons one and two of the US and Canada series, covering the major landforms and waterways of the two nations. It includes seven pages of student activities aimed at content, reading, and writing skills. There are two pages of reading activities, two pages of constructed response questions, one page of maps skills, and two pages of reading comprehension questions. The constructed response lessons were written with the Common Core Standards in mind. Students are asked to cite specific textual evidence to back up their choices, determine the central idea of a passage, and integrate visual information in their answers.
