These maps were specifically created to go along with Ohio's new fifth grade Social Studies content statements. However, this could easily be utilized for any class learning about the Western Hemisphere.
This project includes the following:
*Three sets of maps: Physical (major landforms), Political (countries in the continents), and Regions (set regions in both continents).
*Each map type includes a blank map of the continent, a black-and-white labeled map, and a finished colored map.
*Student project title cards are placed at the top each map type to identify the created maps if made as a project (glue finished colored maps on a large piece of 12"x 18" blue construction paper).
*Each page of title cards has seven individual cards on it to save paper while printing out pages for students.
*Each map will fit in three-ringed binders or student notebooks if you choose not to glue them on to construction paper.
*Detailed map key template for physical map.
*Final map key with color-coded labels.
*Colored and labeled final maps that can be printed and used for students who need accommodations.
*Photos to show a final product on construction paper
*Helpful hints for classroom utilization
This is a great way to begin the year if you are teaching the Western Hemisphere.
I hope this will work well for you.
