Everyday I do a "Do Now" or "Bell work" at the beginning of the bell followed by an exit slip to assess what students learned.
This document is the do nows and exit slips I made for one week of my Earth Science unit. The topic is Geologic Time but more specifically absolute and relative dating, including radiometric dating.
The do now's include daily objectives and a question that gets the lesson started with a discussion and a check in point to see what students know at the start of the bell. The exit slip allows students to self assess their level of understanding in addition to demonstrating their level of understanding.
