This is my marking period project that uses multiple intelligence.
They will be studying geologic time, outside of the school time. There is so much that they can't help but pick up information as they go. Even painting a picture, they have to have scientific information to go with it.
It is a scavenger hunt in the sense that students need to collect points, but they can choose how they collect the points. Everything from painting to making a video to traditional reports.
I use groups of 4, but grade individually. There are maximums set up that the groups can’t go over, so this emphasizes working together without the stigma of a group project.
