I am a firm believer in reviewing Algebra concepts in Geometry. This Scavenger Hunt does that. I use Scavenger Hunts to review subjects in most of my classes because the kids love them and once they are made, it is an easy way to review.
This one reviews finding the lengths of secants, chords, and tangents but requires the student to set up algebraic equations to do so. There are 18 problems and 6 of those require solving a quadratic equation. (all can be factored)
Students have fun with Scavenger Hunts. They try hard to find the correct answer so their team can finish first!
It includes instructions of how to use the Scavenger Hunt, a worksheet that students can use to record their answers, and a homework worksheet that reviews the same subject.
