This project covers most of the Measurement and Geometry topics in the Australian Curriculum.
In this project students create three different suburbs that can be combined to make a Geometric City. Each of the 'suburbs' have a separate Mathematical focus. The suburbs are:
Aerimeter: A focus on finding the area and perimeter of various shapes.
Threeume: A focus on finding the volume of shapes and also making 3D shapes from nets.
Angleation: A focus on finding and measuring angles. Also working through the transformations of shapes.

This task was designed for Year 6 students, however it contains a number of curriculum outcomes for Year 5 and Year 7 (see preview or curriculum links).
