Geometric Mean in Right Triangles Mazes
This is a set of four mazes to practice using geometric means to find the length of a leg, altitude, hypotenuse, or segments of the hypotenuse in a right triangle. Students use their solutions to navigate through the maze. This activity was designed for a high school level geometry class.
Maze 1: Geometric Mean Altitude Theorem
Maze 2: Geometric Mean Leg Theorem
Maze 3: Mixed Altitude and Leg Theorem (Level 1)
Maze 4: Mixed Altitude and Leg Theorem (Level 2)
Maze 4 is more challenging than Maze 3 in that several problems require more than one step. Some problems require the Pythagorean Theorem and Geometric Mean Theorems.
