Geometric Minutes version 1.0 will have your students use three different colors of crayons or colored pencils to fill-in appropriate bubbles to identify 15 figures in sixty seconds...or LESS!!!
With 15 items per page, one minute is all your students will need to classify types of lines, angles, triangles, circle parts, and quadrilaterals.
Geometric Minutes version 1.0 is designed to be used as: part of scaffolded mathematics instruction, math centers activities, morning math maintenance, white board practice, assessment, and as review for statewide testing. Each set offers three different versions of the same skill, sequentially organized by prerequisite sub skills.
Common Core Standards:
-2.G.1Recognize and draw shapes having specified attributes, such as a given number of angles or a given number of equal faces. Identify triangles.
-4.G.1 Draw points, lines, line segments, rays, angles (right, acute, obtuse), and perpendicular and parallel lines. Identify these in two-dimensional figures.
-4.G.2 Classify two-dimensional figures based on the presence or
absence of parallel or perpendicular lines, or the presence or absence of angles of a specified size.
-5.G.3 Understand that attributes belonging to a category of two dimensional figures also belong to all subcategories of that
Contents include the classification of the following figures...
parallel, perpendicular, Intersecting, lines, rays, line segments
