This is a set of task cards that covers 3.14 The student will identify, describe, compare, and contrast characteristics of plane and solid geometric figures (circle, square, rectangle, triangle, cube, rectangular prism, square pyramid, sphere, cone, and cylinder) by identifying relevant characteristics, including the number of angles, vertices, and edges, and the number and shape of faces, using concrete models.
Students will look at the 6 3-Dimsenional Shapes and 4 2-Dimensional Shapes and determine their name, number of edges, number of vertices, and number of faces.
You can use these cards as a "scoot" game where students scoot around the room one desk at a time. You can also tape them around the room and let students work at their own pace. You could also use them for early finishers. The options are endless!
There are 28 task cards, a recording sheet, and an answer key.
