Geometrical Optics – Study Guide Test and Tutorial - 252 problems

This new Windows application is a study guide, a test, and a tutorial. It helps high school physics students become more efficient problem solvers in Geometrical Optics. The students have the opportunity of practicing 252 original and carefully designed problems. The following is the list of topics covered and the number of problems in each topic:

The problems from the data bank are presented in ascending order as multiple choice questions, which the students have to answer. After each question is answered, the step by step solution is shown. An evaluation of the students' performance is shown at the end of the test. The students can start at any point, and they have to indicate up to what question they want to study. This method allows students to study independently the specific exercises in each topic.

It takes just a few minutes to learn to use this Study Guide. Simply place the Zip file in any folder or subfolder you want. Right click the mouse and select Extract all the files. The subfolder Geometrical Optics Guide 2 is created. From inside the subfolder, just select the file Start Test Generator, and the students are ready to begin practicing. It is that simple.
