This is a unit designed for a level 1/AP high school geometry course. There are 27 documents that include rigorous problems with the task of finding the area or perimeter/circumference of triangles, trapezoids, kites, and circles. Students must use the pythagorean theorem to find the missing height of a trapezoid, and even the quadratic formula to find x in a triangle diagram. Circle problems may give the area and students have to find the circumference. Included are warmups, a powerpoint, a performance task, activities, practice worksheets, quizzes, tests, extension activites, and an extra credit assignment. The documents have been listed in order by the curriculum. This unit can be challenging is not appropriate for you if you are looking for straight forward computations in each of the formulas for the shapes mentioned.
