Engage students when solving 3D volume with this “around the world” work booklet! Perfect as an activity, or for formal assessment, this booklet captures student interest by relating famous structures from around the world to basic mathematical shapes.
This booklet contains multiple sections that encourage students to think about 3D geometry on multiple cognitive levels. The sections include:
- prediction chart
- basic geometry problem solving (forwards/backwards)
- composite geometry problem solving
- word problems
In addition, an extension mini-project is included. This project encourages students to research a famous structure of their interest and analyze/calculate its geometric properties.
