This bundle includes four bell ringer packets that cover the entire school year. Each packet contains ten weeks worth of daily bell ringer assignment problems (Four problems to be worked Monday-Thursday and a math journal reflection page for Friday) for Geometry students. The daily assignment problems come from a collection of sources that I have gathered over the years. Several problems are directly related to standardized test questions that the students may see on an "end of instruction" exam. Some of the problems are fun puzzles that require the students to use algebraic thinking in order to solve. Additionally, the packet also includes numerous warm up problems over remedial math topics and Algebra I to keep the students fresh on important concepts such as fractions and number sense.
As the students get further along in the packets, the questions will grow in difficulty along with the content being taught in their geometry class. I print off each nine-weeks packet before each nine week period starts and hand them out to the students on the first day of the new period, once the bell rings for class, the expectation is that the students will be in their seats and be working on the problem for the day. I usually give the students 2-4 minutes to work on the packet depending on the difficulty of the problem. The problem will also be projected up on the board just in case a student forgets what day or week we are working on in the packet. There are a total of four problems each week to be work Monday through Thursday. On Friday, there is a journal entry page for the student to write down his reflection about the content that was taught during class throughout the week.
