### Description

In this geometry card game, students will practice classifying two-dimensional figures based on the presence or absence of parallel or perpendicular lines, or the presence or absence of angles of a specified size. (CCSS 4.G.2)

INCLUDED:

•Student-friendly directions that you can post or make available at the center.

•Attribute Spinner (in full color and black and white)

•64 polygon cards (printed 8 per page, in both full color and black and white)

Students will use a paper clip and pencil to spin the attribute spinner and look for cards that match the attribute it lands on. If they find a card with a matching shape, the student picks the card up. This game can be played independently or in small groups of 2-4 students taking turns spinning. The “game” ends once all of the cards have been matched and picked-up.

Although this center meets Common Core standard 4.G.2, this is NOT a Common Core specific skill! There is NO reference to the Common Core or the standard number on student pages, so this center is a great addition to any classroom!
