This pack includes two options for a challenge menu for Geometry concepts. The concepts covered are triangles (naming by sides and angles, and area and perimeter), types of transformations (rotations, translations, and reflections), using protractors to measure angles, and naming polygons. There is a Tic-Tac-Toe menu, which asks students to complete any three activities over the course of the unit. There is also a 3-5-7 points menu, which asks kids to set a point goal and then do activities to complete this goal. All activities are designed to be completed independently or with a partner, and all activities should be able to be completed with regular classroom supplies.
I used this as a Grade 4 menu with my students who are high and/or Gifted and Talented in math. This coincides with the concepts in Math Expressions/Houghton Mifflin-Harcourt Unit 4, however it is not exclusive to this curriculum and could be used with any geometry unit. This is a PDF.
