A great project for your angles and lines unit- students will create their own city designed with specific requirements for roads and buildings using different types of angles.
Students will use supplementary angles, vertical angles, alternate exterior angles, right angles, parallel lines cut by a transversal and more to set up the street layout of their city. Then they will follow a set of specific directions for where they need to place specific buildings.
This resource includes:
teacher activity directions
student pages- directions, sketch sheet, completion checklist
photos of finished projects
The student directions, checklist and rubric are editable so you can adjust the specifics of the required elements and grading to meet the needs of your class.
This is a great way for your students to creatively show what they know about angles!
