Get your students up and moving with this Geometry Classroom Hunt Activity! After direct instruction on polygons, use this form to allow students to get up and rotate around the room to locate examples of geometry around them.

This activity can be utilized independently, in pairs, or in larger groups as needed! Just print and you're ready to go! This activity allows students to take charge of their learning and for you as the teacher to become the facilitator and rotate the room as necessary to reach the needs of all students.

This activity covers the following 4th & 5th Grade Common Core Standards:
CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.4.G.A.1 - Draw points, lines, line segments, rays, angles (right, acute, obtuse), and perpendicular and parallel lines. Identify these in two-dimensional figures.
CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.4.G.A.2 - Classify two-dimensional figures based on the presence or absence of parallel or perpendicular lines, or the presence or absence of angles of a specified size. Recognize right triangles as a category, and identify right triangles.
CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.4.MD.C.5 - Recognize angles as geometric shapes that are formed wherever two rays share a common endpoint, and understand concepts of angle measurement.
CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.5.G.B.4- Classify two-dimensional figures in a hierarchy based on properties.

This activity covers the following 4th & 5th Grade Florida State Standards:
MAFS.4.G.1.2 - Classify two-dimensional figures based on the presence or absence of parallel or perpendicular lines, or the presence or absence of angles of a specified size. Recognize right triangles as a category, and identify right triangles.
MAFS.4.MD.3.5 - Recognize angles as geometric shapes that are formed wherever two rays share a common endpoint, and understand concepts of angle measurement.
MAFS.5.G.2.4 - Classify and organize two-dimensional figures into Venn diagrams based on the attributes of the figures.
