Use this geometry assessment to assess your students' understanding of second grade geometry standards.
Each assessment included in this file is aligned to an I Can statement for easy data tracking for both you and your students. The I Can statements are clearly shown at the top of each assessment to help students easily identify goals.
You can use these pages individually as quick checks as you move through a unit or together as a summative assessment.
The I Can statements included are:
*I can recognize and draw two-dimensional shapes with specific attributes, such as a number of angles or vertices.
*I can recognize and draw three-dimensional shapes with specific attributes, such as a number of faces, edges or vertices.
*I can identify triangles, quadrilaterals, pentagons, hexagons, and cubes.
*I can partition circles and rectangles into two, three, or four equal shares and describe the shares using the words halves, thirds, half of, a third of, etc.
*I can solve word problems involving two and three dimensional shapes.
