Help your students know and understand the different types of triangles (equilateral, isosceles, scalene, and right) through this investigative activity. Students will use different sized straws to build triangles and further understand the different types.
I use this product to introduce the types of triangles through inquiry. I like to teach this lesson in small group, having students work in pairs. We do the lesson the first day and the activity sheet the second day. You could teach this whole group in one day if you would rather.
My product includes:
1. Triangles Open Ended Activity Sheet
2. Types of Triangles Strategy Poster (2 options)
3. Teacher Notes Page with thorough lesson plan write-up (Hook/Minilesson/Guided Practice/Independent Practice/Closing)
4. Pictures to help teach the lesson
