Product Description
This series of individual and partner activities focuses on area, perimeter, volume and surface area.

This resource contains a series of 4 activities. Each activity has 2 parts….for part 1, students work individually. Then, working together, they complete Part 2 of the activity where they will graph information about the situations from part 1 on the same graph.

The focus of activity 1 is finding area of triangles, rectangles and parallelograms. In the second part of this activity, students will find area of these shapes on the coordinate plane.
The focus of activity 2 is finding area of trapezoids and composite figures. In the second part of this activity, students will create composite figures.
The focus of activity 3 is finding volume of rectangular prisms. In the second part of this activity, students will make nets of the prisms and find the surface area from the net.
The focus of activity 4 is finding surface area of rectangular prisms from nets. In the second part of this activity, students will draw 3-D versions of the prisms using isometric graph paper.

This resource also includes a page showing how to draw on isometric graph paper.
