This is an assignment and organizer for a portfolio final project for the a the first semester of a Geometry class. Students have a lot of choice about how they present their learning, using a structure that incorporates levels of understanding from Bloom's Taxonomy.
I have typically given students about 4-5 hours of in-class time to complete this project, with the expectation that they use out-of-class time as well.
Students have the option of working alone or with a partner on this project.
I have students present their projects science-fair style, and fill out a browsing guide (included) as they look at their peers' projects.
The document is a Word file, as I want it to be easy for you to adapt it to the specifics of your curriculum. The curricular units I've included are: Basics/Tools of Geometry, Triangles, Quadrilaterals/Polygons, and Circles. This project is set up well to be easily modified for different units of instruction.
A rubric is included.
