These worksheets are to be used before and after teaching students each geometry standard.
The topics include: plane shapes, solid figures, polygons, quadrilaterals, triangles, angles, and types of lines. Each worksheet asks students to explain what they know about each topic and answer questions pertaining to the standard.
There are 16 pages in which 7 are student worksheets and 7 are answer keys. The pages are outlined below.
Common Core Standard: 2.G.1 (2 wksts)
This has students explaining what they know about plane shapes, sides, and angles. Students name three shapes and describe the number of angles and sides of two shapes. Next, students describe what they know about solid figures, faces, vertices, and edges. Students name two solids, and then describe two solids based on the number of faces, vertices, and edges.
Common Core Standard: 2.G.1, 3.G.1 (2 wksts)
This covers explaining what students know about polygons and quadrilaterals. The students then label shapes with "polygon," "not polygon," "quadrilateral," and "not quadrilateral."
Common Core Standard: 4.G.2 (1 wkst)
This covers students explaining what they know about triangles and their number of angles. Then, they match the following terms to their picture: equilateral, acute, isosceles, scale, right, and obtuse.
Common Core Standard: 4.G.1 (2 wksts)
This covers explaining angles and a protractor. Students then label types of angles. Then students describe what they know about lines and match the terms following terms to their picture: line, line segment, ray, point, angle, perpendicular lines, parallel lines, and intersecting lines.
Each worksheet has an answer key.
Note: If you would like to purchase the worksheets separately, they are sold individually in my TpT store.
