TOP SELLER! Get ready for a fun, hands-on project! Students will be creating a 3-dimensional structure using many different objects that can be found around school or home. Then, they will present their creation and will identify the geometric figures in the project. There is a letter to the students that describes the project in detail with step-by-step instructions. There is also a scoring guide that breaks down each geometric element used in their structure. Students can use the scoring guide to help them build their structure to make sure all the geometric elements are present.
The geometric elements students will include are:
-one type of triangle
-one example of a quadrilateral
-a symmetrical figure
-two solid figures
I have used this project as an end of unit assessment and it is always a big hit with the students! Find space in the library or around the school where students can display their work. You will be amazed with their creations!
