This is a start to finish plan for a PBL project for Geometry students. The project asks students to create hang gliders and their own logos using their knowledge of Geometry. This special package also includes a fun entry document for the project, a Know/Need to Know template chart, and a handout stating the guidelines for the creation of the hang gliders. This project is intended to use during the unit on Triangle Proofs but can be used any time after that unit as well. The plan page has specific questions and discussion that can be passed out to students or displayed on a board. The timing I suggested is simply a suggestion, but this project can be spread out over time, done in the classroom or at home - very flexible! Students will need to call upon important Geometry vocabulary, apply it to the project, do constructions with straightedge and compass as well as write out triangle proofs.
