A great creative project for Geometry students! Allow students to express their creative artistic ability while showing their mastery of rotational symmetry. Students will create their own mandala with rotational symmetry using a compass and ruler. They will also write a paragraph describing their mandala including the order/degree measure of rotational symmetry and their inspiration. This project is completely editable to fit your needs!
I use this after I have taught mapping a figure to itself in the transformations unit of Common Core Geometry.
Included: Teacher tips, student instructions, rubric, and student samples.
