Product Description
Just add magnets, and generating proofs with your students will soon feel like a game! These {EDITABLE} manipulatives are used to ease Geometry students into formal proofs, by making their mental steps visible, and by facilitating the process of memorizing the definitions and rules of Geometry, as well as the process of recognizing the structure and regularity of proofs.
This product is a set of cards that consists of more than 65 terms and rules of Geometry, which you can see in the preview.
I feel that you should be able to add cards to the set, if ther is a need, so I included an editable page to the product, for your convenience.
You will receive Teacher Instructions + an editable form+28 pages of materials.
There are multiple uses of these ProofBits. This edition is intended for a whole-class instruction/demonstration/assessment or for students’ work on the board.
The size of the bits is convenient for handling, and seeing them from different points of view in a classroom. Their shape allows to use them as:
1)“definition tweets” in the form “if__, then__”;
2) “thought links”, connecting “definition tweets” into a series of immediate conclusions;
3) bits for proof mind-mapping (both:Vertically and Horizontally);
4) hex-connectors for concept building activities around a central idea;
5) vocabulary wall pieces.

Notice: you can increase functionality of the bits by laminating them. Years of experience working with them allow me to recommend that you use matte laminating pouches. I, actually, also apply them onto a magnet sheet. This is the reason behind the design of the pages: you will be able to print them out on sticky 5.5” by 8.5” address labels!!!

Some of the terms included in the product are written in half-symbolic form, there is a verbal copy for them as well. There are few repeats of cards, because they may be needed more than once even in simple proofs.
Blue cards are included to be used for problems with algebraic applications (they are on properties of angles, segments, and relationships within these two units.)
