This unit is designed for an 8th grade class to explore the properties and measurements of solid objects. In this unit students will explore the Euler's Formula, Platonic solids, nets of 3-D objects, surface area and volume, and slicing objects. It has one unit project that involves each student designing a package for a product of their choosing to win a manufacturer's bid. This project uses many of the concepts studied in this unit.
